End of an era...

Havnt updated in ages,have I?I know...Can't help that...been busy ever since!(*smiles wickedly*) ;)

Did you hear me complaining last year about how boring college is?Well this year you wont...coz it isn't at all boring!!It's damn more interesting than ever bfor...a much much better crowd this year,much more happening,far less salwar kameez sightings(thank God!!!),much more designer wear...thats a treat for the eyes you know?Don't believe me?U sud hav been in my class last year!!What an eyesore it was!!!

So Malhar's coming up...Umang too and not to forget Youth Fest!Me taking part in all!! Yahooo...:)It's already soooooo much fun!!!I'm enjoying a lot at the moment! Chakachak is going to be a lot of fun...and Umang has a Harry Potter quizz!!

Deathly Hallows...finished it in about 17 hours...took long enough,didn't it?Well I wanted to read it slowly...as in not just rush to the end...that spoils all the fun.And this was the last book...no more countdowns to the release date,no more spoilers,no more speculations,no more theories...Harry's alive...thank God!But it's all finished isn't it?Feels like the end of an era...I was 13 when I read the first book...and now 19 when I read the last one.It was all Pottermania for almost 7 years!And the interest hasn't declined a bit...I'm just not that much of a Potter maniac now maybe...hehe...in comparision i.e...It was one heck of a journey though...I thouroughly enjoyed ever single moment of this craze.Thanks J.K...thanks a lot for the wonderful friend that you gave me in Harry! ^___^

Even cut the cake...haha...yeah I know,19 is a bit too old to cut the cake n all,huh??But who cares!!I had fun!!Thats all that matters!!

And inspite of telling everyone not to bring a gift,most of them got one!!Well thats ok as far as they also donate later!!Otherwise I'm gonna b really angry at them!!Hehe...

Anyways,tigers are going extinct!!Isn't that sad?When will ppl learn?Sometimes I really wonder why some ppl are so foolish...but then I understand why...if there weren't enough foolish ppl in the world,how wud the others learn what not to do?

Anyways,yesterday WSD has a garage sale in Bandra west.They sud hav kept it on sat or sunday na!!Why did they keep it on friday?I cudn't go there! But I've got a really good plan for my B'day this time...hehe...secret!!Not quite...I've told almost everyone about it!Hahaha...This one's going to be really special!Just watch out!

I'm realy really missing u sweethearts!! Ppl dont understand...I dont expect them to.They havnt spent so much time with u as I hav.They dont know how much I love u! Kuthe aahat tumhi?? So,my french class has started and now I'm sweating it out from 4-9!!Yeah,almost...its so hot out there!I was sitting at home for so many days and never realised it.But now that I've to go out compulsorily,I've realised that Mumbai is really hot!!Thank goodness its the last level now...I dont really enjoy doing it you know!Its not excatly my forte!!
I wud have actually loved doing Spanish...not French!But whatever...have to finish now that I've started!

Animal sacrifice in our own society!!

I'm really appalled to see the state of our so called co-operative housing society!More so that fact that no one seems to have even an ounce of civic/social responsibility! How can you just ignore that fact that yesterday, a family from our society carried out animal sacrificing ritual inside the society's premises while all the other members became temporarily dumb or just a silent spectator to the horrible practice! How can you not care?Dont your insides boil when you see such things?Which century are we living in anyways?Dont you know that not a single religion in the world demands animal sacrifice?And these ppl are Hindus!All the rules are for us,huh?And these ppl are the owners of the society,are they?Not a single rule is applicable to them?It is illegal by law to slaughter/kill any animal except in a legal slaughter house like the one in Deonar in Mumbai.
And these ppl get away with slaughtering them in the society itself???Why so??Where did the voices of these other ppl go now??They had been here in huge numbers while complaining about the dogs!And we were only feeding them to keep them alive,not to offer them to God as a sacrifce!!! How can these people think that God will be happy over such practices?? God created all living beings remember? He wouldn’t want you to take away the life of one of his own creatures in order to please him! If you really want to please God then help keeping his creations alive! Not only God, but the whole humanity will be thankful to you! Coz you really will be doing great work by keeping animals alive! We need them if we are to survive any longer! Why don’t you understand that? Killing can never be the answer to anything!

Our Dapoli trip..

So we had been to Dapoli from 13th to 15th.And how was our trip? Well,you tell me -
First we got a small bus,i.e,we were 19 ppl(including my cousin who is 2 n 1/2 years old) and we got a 14 seater bus!We had asked for an 18 seater bus but apparently the person did not have one!!!His fault!!And he was asking us in adjust in a 14 seater bus!!My mum told him we are all full size and cant adjust..hehehe!!So after much argument,he sent us another indica car..Ok..this was fine..
Then the Indicawala wanted to fill petrol and the petrol pumps were on a strike so he went searching for petrol in every petrol pump..while doing so,he had taken the service road and from there he reached the Mumbai Pune express highway!!Now as u know there are no u-turns or anything on the expressway..so the indica almost reached chiplun before it could turn bac!So my mum,Aaji and another aunt who were in the car came much later..
Then,in front of our bangalow,another bangalow was being built and they were taking electricity from our bungalow..so due to whatsoever reason,at almost 9p.m,the lights went off in our bungalow..inspite of the inverter being there!Then we had to call the electrician and finally the lights came bac!
Next day,i.e Saturday,we realised that there was no water in the tank!!And even though the motor was there,it was not working!So till almost 10.30 in the morning there was no water in the house!!Then we called some ppl who connected our tank with the main water tank and finally we got water!!
Then we went to Hedwi at 3 p.m..reached there at 6.30,visited the Ganesh temple and came bac at 10p.m.We travelled almost 6 hours just to visit a temple for 20 minutes!!
Next day,that is Sunday(yesterday),we left for mumbai at 3p.m.But at about 30kms from dapoli,the Indica hit a stone and its diesel tank burst open!woooo...all the diesel came out in no time!In the Indica were my Mum n Dad,Aaji and my cousin.They had to push the car till it reached a nearby village.Unfortunately,in that village,there was no network!So they cudnt call us as we were ahead in the bus..then they called from a PCO and by that time,we were 10 kms ahead!So we turned back and again went to the stop where they were!As the diesel tank had burst,the Indica had to be towed!And there was no garage nearby except the on at Mandungadh which was 10kms away.So first we tried to tie the bus and the car with a thick rope,but no use.It broke in no time!Then we got a metal wire and tied the car to the bus.Then we had to go at a speed of a bullock cart till Mandungadh coz otherwise the wire wud hav broken again!And so while in normal circumstances we wud hav reached mumdungadh in 25 minutes,at this speed,it took us 2 excruciating hours to reach the same place!!
This was not it!!We left the driver and the car at the garage itself and by the time we again left for Mumbai it was already 7 p.m!!After about 45 minutes,it started raining cats and dogs!!In April!!Can you believe that??Obviously the bus didnt hav vipers...there was lightening,heavy rain,winds...a perfect setting for a mini-storm!Thankfully it stopped after 1 n half hours or so.Then we stopped at Kamat to eat at 10p.m. and again left at 10.45.After dropping everyone at Vashi,Dadar and Bandra,we finally reached home at 2p.m!!
What a trip..seriously!!

What the hell!!

I just dont understand!Why the hell are ppl like this???If you do good,they dont see it.They think they know everything and they think u r infact doing the wrong thing!And others support such ppl..out of fear..out of hatered for the person who does the right thing...whatever be the reason..how can ppl b like this???
One is a person who has helped those dogs...who has kept the dogs alive..who has taken care of those dogs...and ppl think this person is doing the wrong thing by keeping someone alive!
And other is the person who has killed those dogs...who has,before too,pelted stones at those dogs..who has merdered those dogs!!And ppl support that person???How cud anyone b so cruel??
And look at the guts of these damn ppl...they have the guts to man handle someone??That too for no reason at all??The only reason they hav is that person has complained about some illegal things that these ppl hav been doing!And thats the reason u man handle someone??How dare they???What do they think of themselves??And I thout we were living in an educated,cultured locality...and this is how u behave??

Brett's coming to Mumbai!!

ATleast something good is happening!!!Finally!!!
Yeah...seriously...this year had the worst beginning ever.Nothing good is happening.Everything that happens is so sad and depressing. I just hope I can meet Brett again. That may just cheer me up once again.And a good foto with him or something...thats the thing I need right now to cheer me up!

The Deathly Hallows' cover is so confusing!You can't make out a thing from it!Why are Harry,Ron,Hermione is a treasure??? Whats that got to do with the horcruxes??But anyways...thats still ages away!

And Greg Chappell resigned...good!!really good!!He wasn't doing any good for Indian Cricket as it is!And Sachin,you have my support!!You are not going through a bad phrase ok?Batting wise I mean...God,he just made a century a few matches ago!!How can he be in a bad form??Honey still misses her pups and Chiku and Appy!

How cud we lose?????

We lost against Bangladesh..we lost against Sri Lanka...and now we are out of the world cup!Great!!Men in Blue,how could you do this??How could you manage doing this?????You have broken my heart Men in Blue!!I can't believe we are out of the World Cup!This is bizarre!!We lost to Bangladesh!!!!!!How is that possible???:((The whole country was praying for you,you idiots!And you lost!!How could you play so horribly???Sachin-0,Dhoni-0????Sachin???This might have been your last world cup!!And for Dravid,Ganguly and kumble too!!Your last WC!!And you cudnt even go into the Super 8s!!!Great!!How could you do this to us??Poor Dravid!He was so close to crying!But whats the use??Nobody played!!Ohh I still can't digest this loss!!:((((

You see,when u go with the band wagon,you are loved by all..but the minute you do the 'right thing', they start hating ur guts! Idiots! As if I care!And can u believe these hypocrites? They say that they had to pay 150 Rs. to pick up those dead pups and that seemed too much to them!Ha!That secy of ours didnt seem to care about his money much when he bribed the rag picker to pick up those other pups who were alive!And now he cares about spending his money on the dead ones?Have u heard a bigger joke than this?A man who unflinchingly pays to get 5 little pups murdered, says that he doesnt think that he ought to spend 150 for the dead ones!
Such hypocrites!They act as i they hav got the society's best interests at hand!But I've seen them throwing huge stones at a pregant female dog..that too on her stomuch!I've seen them trying to stamp on another pregant doggy's stomuch!How barbaric can u get??And these are the people who are supposed to be the educated ones??Oh phu-lease!Even beggars are better than them!Even if they themselves dont hav anything to eat,they will willingly gine a part of whatever they have to the dog! But not these people!
Words like 'compassion','kindness','love for animals' just dont exist in their dictionaries!I mean I know not everyone likes dogs!but not liking them doesnt give u a right to hurt or kill them!Why dont they understand that animals have feelings too?And what kind of an example are they setting in front of their kids by being cruel to animals? Forget it! I just hope that they understand one day how wrong they are!

Appy dearest,Chiku dearest..wherever you are,I hope you are having a really good time there..and not missing me much!Coz I'm missing you so much that not a single day goes without me hoping that you sweeties will be banging on my door with your paws and i'll let you inside and never ever let you go anywhere ever again! I'm crazy na?!! But I really miss you cuties!! I really hope you are happy over there! I hope they are giving u loads to eat and lots of love and care and attention too! Please God,look after my babies...they have never lived without me to take care of them!

Exams coming up!!gotta study!!And I'm not studing!Haha..how can I??Appy and Chiku are not here...I dont know if they are fine or not..and how can ppl expect me to study for some stupid college exam?Especially for the one which I've already passed?Well ok not entirely..but only 2 subjects remain..as if thats going to be so difficult!I love English Literature..its toooo cool!!I guess I was born to do Eng Lit...its so intersting!I'm totally falling for it!

Recently I read the first 3 parts of Princess Diaries...cool book.I liked it.I've already started the 4th part..

And the World cup's coming!!!Yayaya!!!And no Brett Lee in it!Should I be happy as now India has got a better chance or should I be sad as that wud mean no treat for the eyes this World Cup?Hahahah...kidding!I'm elated!!Come on India...Bring home the cup!!

We won We won!!!!

Yahoooooooooooooooo!!!!!!Hahaha....you did think we have won the World Cup!But yesterday's match was reallllly coool wasn't it???Kaarthick's knock was just brilliant!Sachin?!!!He got out on zero!!!Arrrghhh!!I hate it when that happens!!But finally we are going to WIN some SERIES!!I'm always the optimist yaar!!Sometimes a bit too much...but then..why shouldn't I be?I just hate it when India loses...then let it be any match...when we lose it,my mood for the rest of the day is worse than anything!I remember,when we lost the World Cup in 2003,it was quite clear we were going to lose it ever since Zaheer bowled the first ball of the day which was a no-ball!And in that over he gave many more extras.But me being the eternal optimist,until our last wicket was gone,I kept hoping and hoping that something will happen,someone will play and we'll win the match!But alas...that never happened!And next day was our 10thStd science practical...and that night,I felt sooo horrible...I was so close to crying!Normally even a Karan Johar movie doesn't make me cry...but losing the World Cup was soo different...I kept feeling so horrible,a terrible sense of loss flooded over me..I dunno...it was as if I had personally lost something!I couldn't talk properly for 2 days...I was so sad!I mean it wasn't so horrible as it sounds...but I knew that deep inside I was terribly sad...we had lost the World Cup...after getting so close to winning it!
Dunno what it is with me and Indian cricket...I feel a different kind of oneness with them...as if their loss is mine and their win is mine too.You'll always find me in a terrible mood when India loses...even my mum knows that...I guess I must have been an Indian cricketer in my last lifetime...coz thats the only thing that would explain this extraordinary fanatism!

Many Lives,Many Masters

Hey there!The Book exhibition was reallllly coool!!!I got 3 books from there - 'Messeges from the Masters' by Dr.Brian Wiess, 'Going all the way' and 'Elizabeth - I need you' by Francine Pascal.The Elizabeth one is from the Sweet Valley Twins series...but in this book Elizabeth is no longer in SUV...and I think she must be 21 something now atleast!Haven't started any of those books yet...coz I was reading 'Only Love is Real' by Brian Wiess.It's an amazing book!!A must read for every person on this earth!!Actually I thought Many Lives,Many Masters by him is much more interesting...this is just a sort of continuation of that book.But Many Masters was an absolute shocker for me atleast!!I mean I've never really been a very religious person before...I'm an athiest..but certainly not religious!I've always thought that most of the things that our religion teaches us is nothing but superstions...seriously...we have sooooooo many endless rituals and beliefs...and scientifically looking at these rituals my mind never agreed with them!But after reading this book,I guess there must be atleast some bases for the evolment of this religion...the Hindu religion I mean...And dont worry...its not a spiritual book or anything.Not just a spiritual book...its a real story of life-after-death and reincarnation!Do i hear you groaning in dissapointment already??Don't be dear...believe me...its a great book!!I mean imagine this...when we die,our soul rises up in the air and we see a light somewhere far away...and then we meet the Masters who are the highly evolved souls...God-like.Then we are supposed to realise what all mistakes we made in our lifetime...based on that we are given the choice of where and when we want to be born again...i.e if we have been good in our lifetime then only we are given a choice..otherwise the next lifetime that we get is a real tough one!In that book,the girl,who is a patient of Dr.Brian Wiess,she realised that she had 86 past lifetimes!!And all in different countries!Oh my God...am I telling too much?!!Sorry!!Just read the book and you'll know ok?

Just having fun...

Today I'll be going to the Mumbai Festival Book Exhibition at Kalina.The only problem is that I still dont know the exact address of that place!Hehe...Never mind...I'll find it out.

Then we'll be having out Saree and Rose day in col on saturday...I hope it'll be fun atleast this time!Coz last time there was nothing to do except roam around in that uncomfortable saree and finally we got bored to death and left for home!Seriously,our college is really boring!!Wish we had a few more cool people in our col...coz otherwise even the teachers are not interested in holding some fun activities and we have to suffer coz of that!But well...I guess you can't hope to have a good crowd when you are in Arts...I mean there are colleges where the Arts crowd is better than ours,but then in those colleges studies are not given that much importance..and there are no good students at all!Then in that case I did better be in Sathaye,atleast we have got really cool teachers here!Who cares about the crowd!I've got a cool group of friends and that's all I can ask for!That's our Taxi Day Foto...I'm not there in it obviously coz I clicked the foto!!

Shilpa Shetty in Big Brother

Whatever is happening there in that Celibrity Big Brother is really pathetic!I mean I had really thought that the western countries has grown tolerant...but I guess it's not so yet!What the British celebrities are exhibiting by passing so many racist comments, is that they are highly uneducated!Maybe they have been never taught to celibrate differences instead of laughing at them!I mean even Shilpa can laugh at their accent just as they do at hers!But she isn't doing it right?Dont they understand that all over the world people do have different accents while speaking different languages?It is as but natural!If they were to learn Hindi and come to India to participate the Big Boss,do u think our celibrities would have laughed at them like this?No way!Coz it comes so naturally to us!India is a country where we have thousands of spoken languages and lakhs of dialects.If we go on laughing like them at every other person just because his accent is different than ours,we would be called fools!Can't these people understand such simple things?And they are calling Shilpa a slum dweller and an uneducated person and laughing at the way she eats...I mean they are nothing but stupid!If you have been given an opportunity to learn about a different culture,different belives,different thoughts, then why waste your time on making fun of that difference?Instead they can learn so many new things!Cant they even understand a simple thing like,if they think she's stupid or her manners are stupid just coz they are different than their own,dont they get it that the same applies to them when they are judged in relation to other people?I mean if we are going to laugh at them for being British,then that would surely be stupidity,wont it?Seriously,these people are such hypocrites!Such filthy hypocrites!They think they know everything when infact this racist attitude of theirs is depriving them of such a huge treasure of knowledge!May God help them!I think if it wasn't for India,the term 'Religious Tolerance' would have been non-exsistant!And not just religious tolerance-cultural,lingustic and social tolerance too!I'm really proud to be an Indian!Afterall we have indeed progressed so much inspite of so many differences!I dont think any other country in the world would have even survived for such a long time(had they so many differences),forget progressing!
